Remember the 80s?

One-night stands were standard operational procedure. Every weekend brought the possibility of a new adventure.

Not anymore! With the potential risks outweighing the pleasures, one-night stands have become much less commonplace.

I know a lot of women and men too, who feel a little “stiffed” by the current state of affairs… or lack of!

Sure – many of us might find the ultimate relationship – but let’s face it, they’re few and far between. And as we “mature” (yes, let’s avoid the words “get older” at all costs), they seem to be even fewer… and farther away!

One-night stands offered the opportunity to express our sexuality – even if only for a few hours. And they gave us something to laugh about with our friends, cry about to our mothers and write about in our journals!

So, in the 21st C, what is replacing the one-night stand if not a relationship?

Is the vibrator the 21st C “stand-in” for the one-night stand?

Since we’re not as comfortable having a one-night stand, I believe we have replaced the tall, dark and handsome stranger with a purple, multi-speed, dual action, “looks like a cute little rabbit,” vibrator.

It’s true! That’s why vibrators, like the infamous Rabbit, have become so popular. You can have the “big O” without the “woes” the next day.

Sure, you don’t have the drama to write about in your diary – and you won’t bring Mr. Rabbit home to meet the parents (unless they have a really good sense of humor!), but you still may have a really good laugh with your friends!
